How to Live Satisfied in your Singleness
In this “Relationship Goals” movement we are in. There’s much talk concerning courting, dating, marriage, and relationships. For those who are not called to be married, these conversations are a misrepresentation of the Christian walk. In the same way, for those who are called to be married, but are single, their time of singleness is often consumed with "preparation" for their future spouse.
This view of singleness is limiting. What would a singleness journey look like if God was allowed to lead to fulfilling his mission, without the expectations associated with our desire for the blessing? Said differently, what would happen if the focus of singleness was on God and not the blessing of a spouse?
As it relates to singleness, over the last five or so years, I’ve been devoted to a satisfied single journey. Under this pretense, I have devoted myself to loving God, loving myself, and doing the work to fulfill my mission and secure my legacy. This journey is what I have titled a satisfying single life.
Today, I give you my very basic definition of a satisfied single's journey. In the video attached, I go into greater detail about my journey in particular and how I've done the work to walk in this level of freedom.
