The Growth in Failing: 30 Day Handstand Challenge
I started this journey to prove to myself that I was strong. I wanted to try something new, push the limits of my body, and constantly feel the art of failure. It wasn't easy failing.
Psychologically speaking, as a perfectionist, it took a lot out of me in the beginning. Trying to use those muscles daily, I found was taxing and costly. Realizing that rest was a progress game changer, I had to learn patience with myself. I had to listen to myself, see myself, and act accordingly to reach the goals. While I didn't succeed, I wouldn't trade this journey for anything.
Trying something new is rarely easy. Pushing yourself past the comforts of your limits breeds growth. In particular, failure produces growth. Whether physically, mentally, or within the other areas of wellness, when we strive for growth, we can't strive for perfection. To find maturity, you must not settle, but rather enjoy progression.
